This oven-fried panko chicken offers a lighter, high-protein alternative to traditional deep frying without sacrificing that sought-after crunch. By using Japanese panko breadcrumbs and a hint of cayenne pepper, the chicken achieves a beautifully golden, savoury crust that locks in moisture and provides a satisfying texture. It is a fantastic option for a midweek dinner when you want something comforting but straightforward to prepare.
Perfect for a family meal, this dish is best served alongside a fresh green salad or steamed seasonal vegetables to balance the richness of the butter-brushed coating.
