This sophisticated high-protein dish brings a refined Japanese twist to the classic grilled steak. By using a clever microwave technique to crisp the woody herbs, you create a fragrant, earthy crust that perfectly complements the rich flavours of the beef. It is a wonderful way to elevate a mid-week dinner into something special while keeping the preparation simple and the cooking time short.
The star of the show is the vibrant dipping sauce, featuring zesty ponzu and the crisp, peppery notes of grated daikon and carrot. This citrus-based dressing provide a bright contrast to the savoury meat, making it a brilliant choice for those seeking a light yet satisfying meal. Serve these steaks alongside a simple green salad or steamed tenderstem broccoli for a balanced, nutritious dinner.
