Plum-Fennel Salad with Honey-Ginger Dressing

This vibrant plum and fennel salad offers a sophisticated balance of sweet and savoury flavours, making it an ideal choice for a light lunch or a refreshing side dish. Exotic notes of fresh ginger and citrusy orange juice perfectly complement the natural sweetness of ripe red plums, while the fennel provides a delicate aniseed crunch. The ingredients are simple but effective, creating a colourful plate that looks beautiful on any dining table.

As a versatile plant-based recipe, this vegan dish is excellent for those seeking a healthy, low-fat option that does not compromise on taste. Preparing the salad in advance allows the fennel to macerate in the dressing, softening its texture and intensifying the overall flavour profile. Serve it alongside grilled proteins or as part of a seasonal spread for a truly modern, homemade touch.
