Ingredients for Ranch fun dip

  • 30 g raw pistachios

  • 30 ml nutritional yeast

  • 10 g reduced-salt kosher salt (or 7 g)

  • 10 g Aleppo-style pepper

  • 5 g dried dill

  • 5 g sugar

  • 5 g onion powder

  • 2 g garlic powder

  • Special equipment: a spice mill or mortar and pestle

How to make Ranch fun dip

  1. Preheat a medium frying pan over medium heat.

  2. Toast the pistachios in the frying pan, shaking and tossing them often, until golden brown, about 4 minutes.

  3. Transfer the toasted pistachios to a spice mill or mortar and pestle and allow them to cool.

  4. Add the nutritional yeast and salt to the cooled pistachios, then grind or pound until you achieve a coarse meal texture.

  5. Transfer the mixture to a small bowl and stir in the Aleppo-style pepper, dill, sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder until well combined.

  6. Serve the dip with crudités.

Do Ahead:

Prepare the Ranch Fun Dip up to 2 weeks in advance. Store it in an airtight container at room temperature.
