Taking naltrexone and Trulicity (dulaglutide) together may increase the risk of your blood sugar dropping too low (hypoglycaemia). You may also experience more stomach-related side effects like nausea or vomiting.

Why this happens
Naltrexone can sometimes increase the body's sensitivity to insulin or affect how sugar is processed. Trulicity works by stimulating insulin release and slowing down how fast your stomach empties. When used together, these effects can add up, potentially lowering blood sugar more than intended and slowing digestion further.
What you should do

Learn to recognise the signs of low blood sugar, such as feeling shaky, sweaty, dizzy, or hungry.
