Why this happens

Naproxen is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which can irritate the lining of the stomach. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant that can also cause stomach upset in some people. When used together, their effects on the stomach can add up. Additionally, both drugs can affect the central nervous system, leading to increased sleepiness.

You should use caution when taking these two medicines together. It is best to take them with food or a glass of milk to help protect your stomach. If you notice any severe stomach pain, black or tarry stools, or if you feel excessively drowsy, stop taking the medicines and contact your doctor. Avoid alcohol while taking these medications as it can further increase the risk of stomach bleeding and drowsiness.
