Why this happens
Dapagliflozin is a diuretic-like medicine that helps the kidneys remove sugar and water, which can sometimes lower potassium levels. Flecainide is an anti-arrhythmic medicine that works on the heart's electrical signals. If your potassium levels drop too low while taking flecainide, it can change how the flecainide works and potentially lead to heart rhythm problems.

Back to contentsYou can take these medicines together, but your doctor should monitor your kidney function and salt (electrolyte) levels through regular blood tests. Ensure you stay well-hydrated. If you experience extreme tiredness, muscle weakness, or a fluttering feeling in your chest (palpitations), contact your doctor immediately.
