Can I take Doxycycline and Losartan together?

There is no known direct interaction between doxycycline and losartan. However, both medications can occasionally affect kidney function or potassium levels, particularly if you become dehydrated.

Why this happens

Doxycycline is an antibiotic and losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used for blood pressure. They are processed by the body through different pathways and do not typically interfere with each other's effectiveness or metabolism.

You can safely take these two medicines together. Ensure you stay well-hydrated, especially if the infection you are treating with doxycycline causes a fever or sweating, as dehydration can increase the risk of side effects from blood pressure medication.
