Why this happens

Lion's Mane has been shown in some studies to have mild blood pressure-lowering and heart rate-slowing effects. Propranolol is a beta-blocker that works by doing the exact same thing. When used together, these effects can add up (an additive effect), potentially making the medication's impact stronger than expected.

If you decide to take Lion's Mane, monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly. Be particularly careful when standing up quickly from a sitting or lying position. If you feel dizzy, breathless, or unusually tired, stop taking the supplement and consult your doctor. It is best to inform your GP before starting any new herbal supplements alongside prescription heart or blood pressure medication.
