Why this happens

Tamsulosin works by relaxing certain muscles to help with urine flow, which can lower blood pressure. Levothyroxine is a thyroid hormone that can increase heart rate. When used together, the heart may have to work harder to maintain blood pressure, which can lead to a fast or irregular heartbeat.

It is generally safe to take these together, but you should use caution. Monitor your blood pressure regularly and look out for signs of dizziness, especially when standing up quickly. If you feel faint or notice your heart racing, contact your doctor. Ensure you take your levothyroxine on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, to ensure it is absorbed properly.
