Can I take Entresto and Forxiga together?

Why this happens

Both medicines work in different ways to remove excess fluid and salt from the body. Entresto (sacubitril/valsartan) relaxes blood vessels and increases salt removal, while Forxiga (dapagliflozin) causes the kidneys to remove sugar and water through urine. Because both can lower blood pressure and affect how the kidneys filter blood, their effects can add together.

These two medicines are often prescribed together for heart failure, but you need close monitoring. Ensure you stay well-hydrated and tell your doctor if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unusually tired. Your doctor will likely perform regular blood tests to check your kidney function and potassium levels. Do not stop taking either medication without consulting your healthcare provider.
