This authentic Persian majoon is a luxurious, thick date shake that offers a naturally sweet and energy-boosting treat. Combining the caramel-like richness of Medjool dates with frozen banana and a hint of warming cinnamon, this vegetarian drink is both refreshing and incredibly satisfying. The addition of plain yoghurt provides a subtle tang that balances the sweetness while creating a velvety, smooth texture, ensuring every sip is packed with a deep, complex flavour.
Ideal as a nutritious breakfast or a restorative afternoon snack, this homemade shake is defined by its beautiful garnish of toasted nuts and seeds. The contrast between the cold, creamy base and the crunchy topping of pistachios, walnuts and sesame seeds makes it a sophisticated alternative to standard smoothies. Serve it in chilled glasses for a visually stunning and wholesome treat that is as nourishing as it is delicious.
