Marie Curie is the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness. The charity helps people living with a terminal illness and their families make the most of the time they have together by delivering expert hands-on care, emotional support, research and guidance.
The charity is best known for its network of Marie Curie Nurses providing hands-on nursing care in people’s homes.
It has nine hospices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and is the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS. It funds three palliative care research centres in Cardiff, Liverpool and London and wider research programmes across the UK.
Marie Curie also provides a comprehensive range of information and support services for anyone affected by terminal illness.
The charity believes that everyone living with a terminal illness should have access to high-quality care and support, which meets all of their needs, regardless of their diagnosis or their personal circumstances.
