The Vegan Society, a registered charity founded November 1944, envisages a world where humans do not exploit non-human animals. They promote a lifestyle that excludes, as far as possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of - and cruelty to - animals for the purposes of food, clothing or anything else. The Vegan Society's mission is to make veganism mainstream and the two key initiatives helping them to realise their long-term goal of a vegan world are:

  • Encouraging more people to give veganism a try.
  • Making the vegan lifestyle easy to follow.
