Can I take Pregabalin and Wellbutrin together?

Taking pregabalin and Wellbutrin (bupropion) together can increase the risk of having a seizure. Both medications can also affect your central nervous system, which may lead to increased drowsiness, dizziness, or difficulty concentrating.

Why this happens

Bupropion is known to lower the 'seizure threshold', meaning it makes it slightly easier for a seizure to occur. While pregabalin is often used to treat seizures, combining it with drugs that have this effect requires caution. Additionally, both drugs can have sedating effects on the brain that add together.

What you should do

You should use these medications together only under close medical supervision. If you have a history of seizures or head injury, tell your doctor before starting this combination.
